Azerbaijani chess players join Abu Dhabi Festival
Azerbaijani team is vying for medals at the 22nd International Chess Festival in Abu Dhabi, the UAE.
The squad includes Vugar Asadli, Asif Yagubi, Narmin Khalafova, Kanan Haydarli, Nail Bashirli, Mahammad Muradli, Turan Asgarova, Said Rafili, Narmin Soyunlu, Farid Mustafayev, Matin Mursalli, Rafail Manafov, Vugar manafov and Adnan Aliyev.
Apart from Azerbaijan, the festival brings together a total of 450 players from Russia, Ukraine, USA, UK, Poland, India, Latvia, Hungary, Georgia, Turkey, Iran, Estonia, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Qatar and Germany.
The Swiss system tournament features 9 rounds, AzerTac state news agency reported.
