Azerbaijan draw 1-1 with Northern Ireland
David Healy equalised in the sixth minute of injury-time to salvage a draw for Northern Ireland in their World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan, BBC reported.
Rauf Aliyev's superb 30-yard strike gave Azerbaijan an early lead. Aliyev scored with Azerbaijan's first attack, his long-range effort bending inside the post for a fifth-minute opener, BBC reported.
The hosts dominated but squandered numerous chances with Kyle Lafferty, Daniel Lafferty, Craig Cathcart and Chris Baird missing easy openings. Azerbaijan looked dangerous on the counter-attack and only a Gareth McAuley block denied Aliyev the chance of shooting again.
Substitute Healy netted the last-gasp leveller from a free-kick, but NI have now gone 11 games without a win.
