Farid Gayibov resigns as Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation secretary general

Farid Gayibov has resigned as Secretary General of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) in connection with his election as President of the European Union of Gymnastics (UEG), reads a message posted on the AGF official website.
Gayibov, in order to prevent a future collision of interests between the AGF and the UEG, appealed to the AGF Executive Committee requesting to dismiss him from his post.
New secretary general will be named at the meeting of the AGF Executive Committee to be held in the coming days, but prior to that, Farid Gayibov will be acting secretary general of the AGF.
Farid Gayibov was elected as the President of the UEG on December 2.
