Tehran says it seriously stands against extremism
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said
that the Islamic Republic of Iran seriously stands against
extremism and terrorism spread in the region.
He made the remarks at a meeting with a visiting Egyptian media
delegation, Mehr News Agency reported on September 1.
Amir-Abdollahian added that Iran seeks to "unfold the plots of the
common enemies of the Islamic world, especially the Zionist
regime".
Amir-Abdollahian also criticized some countries' double standards
in dealing with issues such as democracy and terrorism.
Speaking of Iraq and Syria, the official noted that Iran supports
any serious effort to fight terrorism in Iraq and Syria.
He went on to note that improving the life condition of
Palestinians, as well as boosting their defense system is among
Tehran's goals.
"Iran fully supports Palestinians to reach their certain rights and
historic demand," he added.
