Georgia to attract Australian investments

Issues of attracting Australian investments to Georgia were discussed at a meeting of Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili and Australian Ambassador Ian Biggs on January 9 in Tbilisi, the Georgian state reported.
"The business environment in Georgia favours attracting Australian investments, which will create additional opportunities for Georgia," the ambassador said.
He noted that Australia considers Georgia a partner country and supports its territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The sides also discussed cooperation within the framework of international organizations, including in the UN format. They supported deepening of relations in the sphere of politics, economics and culture.
Margvelashvili thanked the ambassador, who is concluding his activity, for his work and wished him success in his further activities in the diplomatic area.
