Iran's foreign ministry to lead nuclear talks
Iranian Foreign Ministry has been named responsible for carrying
out nuclear negotiations with P5+1 and the IAEA, Fars news agency
reported.
During ex-president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad`s administration, the top
nuclear negotiator for Iran was the Secretary of the Supreme
National Security Council Sa'eid Jalili.
The U.S. and its Western allies suspect Iran of developing a
nuclear weapon - something that Iran denies.
The Islamic Republic has on numerous occasions stated that it does
not seek to develop nuclear weapons, using nuclear energy for
medical researches instead.
