Twelve civil and engineering projects including Khazar steel
factory, new unit of Khazar tile production complex, a hospital,
and 16,100 Mehr Housing Units were officially inaugurated on
Tuesday in the northern province of Gilan, IRIB News reported.
The Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad attended the inauguration
ceremonies.
The projects came on stream at the cost of 9,038 billion rials
(some 273.8 million dollars).

job opportunities were created.
The inaugurations come in the last days of President Ahmadinejad's
second term. The incumbent administration will be replaced by the
president-elect's government in less than a month.
It should be reminded that on June 14, Hassan Rouhani won the
presidential elections in the country, gathering over 50 percent of
votes, and thus becoming the next president of Iran. The official
inauguration will be held on August 4.
