GTA VI release date officially announced
By Alimat Aliyeva
The release date of GTA VI has finally been confirmed — the game is set to launch on November 19, 2026, AzerNEWS reports.
It has been emphasized that no further delays are planned. According to Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick, the official marketing campaign for GTA VI will begin this summer. The highly anticipated third trailer is also expected to be released, which may reveal new details about the game’s world and mechanics. Following this announcement, Take-Two Interactive shares rose by approximately 7%.
The release of the sixth installment in the series has been postponed twice: first from Fall 2025 to May 2026, and then to November 19, 2026. The previous entry, GTA V, was released 13 years ago and remains one of the best-selling video games of all time, with over 185 million copies sold. Minecraft still holds the top position with more than 300 million copies sold worldwide.
Interestingly, analysts suggest that GTA VI could generate over $1 billion in revenue within its first few days, making it one of the biggest entertainment launches in history — not just in gaming, but across all media industries.
