MP: Top priority for Iran to develop joint oilfields next year
The development of joint oil and gas fields will still remain
one of the top priorities in the country's next year budget bill,
Member of Iran's Parliament (Majlis), Mohammad Saeed Ansari, said
on Monday, the SHANA news agency reported.
Iran is daily losing some $2.4 billion in its joint oil and gas
fields, Member of Iran's Parliament, Mohammad Ali Abdollahzadeh,
said in mid-October.
Since Iran has not invested enough money in its joint oil and gas
fields, the nation is now lagging behind neighbours in production,

million cubic meters by the end of Iranian calendar year 1393
(March 19, 2015), the Managing Director of Pars Oil and Gas Company

By reaching the point, Iran will outpace Qatar in tapping the joint
gas field, the IRNA news agency quoted Mousa Souri as saying.
Qatar currently extracts 550-560 million cubic meters of gas per
day.
The National Iranian Oil Company director Ahmad Qalehbani had said
in September that NIOC attaches the top priority to the development
of joint oil and gas fields.
He referred to the key role of explorations in the oil sector,
