Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by member of the National Assembly of France, president of the Friends of Azerbaijan Association Jean-Francois Mancel on November 3.

President Aliyev said the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and France were successfully developing in various areas.

The head of state noted the importance of high-level meetings, including his meeting with President Francois Hollande during his last visit to France in terms of the strengthening of ties.

President Aliyev expressed his confidence that the Friends of Azerbaijan Association, which was founded in France, would contribute to the deepening of relations between the two countries and people.

Saying that the Association consists of influential figures from various strata of France, Mancel said they would spare no efforts to ensure that Azerbaijan and France know each other better.

Expressing his confidence that high-level political and economic ties between the two countries will have a positive impact on this process, Mancel thanked for the attention and high hospitality.

The parties also discussed the issues related to Azerbaijani-French bilateral relations, interparliamentary ties and settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
