President Aliyev receives outgoing Japanese envoy

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on October 22 received outgoing Japanese Ambassador Shusuke Watanabe, AzerTag state news agency reported.

The Head of State praised Watanabe`s contributions to developing the Azerbaijani-Japanese bonds.

President Aliyev said relations between the two countries were developing, underlining the importance of Japanese companies' long-term operation in Azerbaijan.

The Head of State said he believes Japanese companies will further boost the cooperation with Azerbaijan on new projects.

President Aliyev expressed confidence the Azerbaijani-Japanese cooperation will continue expanding.

Ambassador Watanabe, in turn, hailed his activities in Azerbaijan, saying he will leave the country with good impressions.

Shusuke Watanabe said he witnessed big economic progress in Azerbaijan. The Japanese diplomat lauded the country's efforts towards preserving national traditions.
