Turkey calls on Armenia to withdraw from occupied Azerbaijani lands

Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan, the occupation of Karabakh is a problem not only for Azerbaijan but also for Turkey.

The fictional "Armenian genocide" is a lie, slander and is not legally justified. The Armenian side was asked to open all the archives many times and recognize everything that has been proven on the basis of historical facts. But Armenians still did not accept this proposal.

Armenia takes a similar deconstructive position also in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Armenia must withdraw from the occupied Azerbaijani lands, spokesman for Turkish President Ibrahim Kalyn said at a conference in Ankara dedicated to future relations between Turkey and Russia.

The press secretary also noted that withdrawal from the occupied Azerbaijani territories would be useful for Armenia itself.

Kalyn considers that Russia has a great responsibility in resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

"The liberation of the occupied Azerbaijani lands is important for establishing peace and stability in the southern Caucasus," a spokesman concluded.

The firm position of the Republic of Turkey on the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the international arena and its policy of support in relation to the restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan are the main examples of solidarity.

As a result of Armenia's armed invasion into Azerbaijan's legal territory, the two neighboring countries have remained locked in a bitter territorial dispute over the Nagorno-Karabakh region, which Armenia-backed separatists seized from Azerbaijan in a bloody war in the early 1990s.

The 1994 ceasefire agreement was followed by peace negotiations. Armenia has not yet implemented four UN Security Council resolutions on withdrawal of its armed forces from the Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding districts.

Despite Baku's best efforts, peace in the occupied lands remains a mirage in the distance as Armenia refuses to comply with international law.
