Pantomime Theatre to start season with “Mankurt”

Azerbaijan is a country with profound theater life. It can always offer theater lovers some places to go.
However, the main problem is that most plays are not staged in English. But, don't worry because you can always delight yourself with a theater understandable around the world: pantomime.
Pantomime is considered to be the most international art, anyone can understand the plot through the facial expressions and gestures of mime. But at the same time, this theater has its own peculiarity in different countries.
The repertoire of the Pantomime Theatre in Baku includes more than 20 productions in various genres of drama and comedy, from Azerbaijan and abroad.
The inimitable plastic art of the theater actors, precise movements and unique adaptations make the theater the very famous place around the local theater amateurs.
The newly renovated theater of pantomime in Baku will start the season with a play called "Mankurt" on September 20.
The play is based on the works of the famous Kyrgyz writer Chinghiz Aitmatov "The Day Lasts More Than a Hundred Years."
The play is directed by Jeyhun Dadashov, with artist Sanubar Samedova, musical arrangement by Elman Rafiyev and director for choreography Bakhtiar Khanizade.
This performance has been staged by the theater for years. However, in the new season, it will be presented in a new interpretation.
All the actors of the theater are engaged in this performance.
