Azerbaijani First Lady attends 'Great work of skilful hands' exhibition in Baku

The exhibition titled "Great work of skilful hands" opened on January 14 at the Museum of Modern Art in Baku, AzerTac state news agency reported.

The exhibition organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in partnership with the Museum of Modern Art reflects a collection of artworks by inmates of the Children's Home #1 of Baku's Nizami district.

First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, President's daughters Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva attended the opening ceremony.

The exhibition, which was organized upon the initiative of Vice-President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, featured 140 artworks by children aged 10-18.

The displays depict Azerbaijan nature, Khojaly massacre, ancient historical monuments of Azerbaijan and national fairy tales characters.

First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva wished success to the young artists. Then inmate of the Children's Home Nahid Sariyev presented his artwork titled "Absheron" to Mehriban Aliyeva.
The exhibition will run until January 28.
