Azerbaijani State String Quartet will perform at YARAT Contemporary Art Space on October 18.
The quartet will delight the audience with the musical miniatures by Khayyam Mirzazade.
Be ready to experience a fascinating combination of music and poetry performed by Zahra Badalbeyli, Narmina Mammadzade and Attika Aliyeva.
The State String Quartet was founded in 1998 and has repeatedly performed in France, Germany, Turkey, Greece and Serbia. The quartet includes Jeyla Seyidova (first violin), Honorary Artist of Azerbaijan Republic Soltan Mammadova (second violin), Honorary Artist of Azerbaijan Republic Vakhtang Imanov (viola) and Honorary Artist of Azerbaijan Republic Alexei Miltykh (cello).
The main purpose of the quartet is to popularize Azerbaijani and West-European music.
The event starts at 19:00. Admission is free.
YARAT is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to nurturing an understanding of contemporary art in Azerbaijan and to creating a platform for Azerbaijani art, both nationally and internationally. Based in Baku, YARAT (meaning CREATE in Azerbaijani) was founded by Aida Mahmudova in 2011.
It realizes its mission through an on-going program of exhibitions, education events and festivals. YARAT facilitates exchange between local and international artistic networks including foundations, galleries and museums.
YARAT comprises YARAT Art Centre, ARTIM Project Space, YARAT Studios, YAY Gallery and an extended educational and public programme.
