Azerbaijani-Israel ICT forum to be held during BakuTel

The Azerbaijan-Israel ICT Forum will be held in Baku as part of the 19th Azerbaijan International Telecommunication and Information Technology Exhibition (BakuTel).

According to President of the Israel-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce Alex Kaplun, the forum will be held at the Baku Business Center at the initiative of the Azerbaijan ICT Ministry and the Israel-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce.

BakuTel will be held at the Baku Expo Exhibition and Convention Center on December 2-5.

The forum will deliver an opportunity to establish cooperation between Azerbaijani and Israeli companies, which will be another step in the development of technological partnership between the two countries, Kaplun said.

Deputy ICT Minister Elmir Velizade, Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan Rafael Harpaz and head of the Chamber of Commerce Alex Kaplun will deliver speeches at the forum.

Moreover, some 14 Israeli companies will present modern technologies and solutions in the ICT field.

The issues of ensuring the information security of corporate networks, optimization and analysis of Internet traffic, protection of web sites from hacker attacks, Internet traffic transfer to remote areas, the use of mobile technologies and devices in healthcare will also be discussed.

Azerbaijan and Israel are focusing on many areas, and the four areas that will be relevant are telecommunications, agriculture, water supply and medical technologies.

Israel recently discovered gas fields onshore and intends to use the experience of Azerbaijan in this regard. Israel is also willing to assist Azerbaijan in the diversification of its economy.

BakuTel also plans to hold Azerbaijan-Argentina and Azerbaijan-USA ICT forums.
