Mukhtar Babayev, the designated President of COP29 and Azerbaijan’s Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, recently held discussions with Dinara Amanturovna, Kyrgyzstan's special representative on environmental issues, during the 16th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP16) in Colombia.

According to Azernews, COP29 shared updates on the meeting through its "X" social media account, highlighting the emphasis both parties placed on bolstering climate resilience in Central Asia.

Babayev and Amanturovna reiterated their commitment to mutual cooperation, aiming to strengthen environmental strategies in the region.
