The Transport Corridor Europe- Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA) and the GUAM Organization for Democracy and Economic Development will soon develop a memorandum on mutual cooperation.

The perspectives of cooperation between the sides were high on agenda during the meeting between TRACECA Secretary General Mircea Ciopraga and Ambassador and Secretary General of GUAM Altai Efendiyev, who paid a visit to TRACECA Headquarter.

Main point of discussion was the possibility of seeking new ways for collaboration taking into consideration the advantageous geographical and strategic position of the GUAM countries, which are also TRACECA members.

Signing of the document will provide an opportunity of promoting and strengthening various joint projects and initiatives taking into consideration the economic, transport and trade situation of each TRACECA and GUAM member state in the context of the dynamic development of the international transport corridor Europe- Caucasus-Asia.

GUAM Organization is a regional organization for democracy and economic development. Four countries of GUAM, including Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova are also member-states of TRACECA.
