A little longer than a fortnight left until Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2023. Motorsport fans can't wait to feel adrenaline rush from the long-anticipated race.

F1 pilots will hit the streets in Baku on April 28-30, bringing lots of excitement and drama.

On the threshold of the race, Baku City Circuit's National Press Officer, Turab Teymurov has shared some details about the upcoming race with Azernews. Get ready for the smell of gasoline!

Q: What is special about Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2023?

A: Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2023 promises to be spectacular. During the three days, motorsport fans have a chance to enjoy a real and exciting race. Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2023 will include the qualifying sessions, sprint race and the main race. The F1 race in Baku will be the first of six in the season to follow the sprint format.

Q: What are the top countries for ticket sales?

A: Formula 1 race has been held in Azerbaijan for the seventh year. However, this is the first time that tickets are sold so quickly. We have broken all records for ticket sales.

Most tickets for the race Baku have been purchased by motorsport fans from the UK and the Netherlands. There is very little space left in the rest of the grandstands. Tickets for B section at Absheron, Philharmonic, Sahil and Boulevard grandstands have been already sold out.

Q: What entertainment programs are planned within the race ?

A: After a three year break, concert programs will once again delight F1 race fans. Renowned DJ Don Diablo will give a concert in Baku on April 28th. The Dutch DJ Hardwell will perform in the Baku Boulevard Fanzone on April 29, right after the culmination of the season's first F1 sprint race.

Q: Is it planned to extend the contract for holding the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix?

A: Negotiations are underway to extend the contract for holding the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The last Grand Prix is scheduled to be held in Baku this year. More detailed information will be provided in future.
