Brussels to host EU-Georgia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee meeting
The 14th meeting of the EU-Georgia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee will be held from Feb.25 to 26 in Brussels. Georgian parliamentary delegation is led by Tina Khidasheli.
As the Georgian parliament told Trend news agency, the delegation of Georgian parliament will hold meetings with political groups in the European Parliament.
As a co-chair Tina Khidasheli will open the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee, while from the European Parliament - Milan Cabrnoch. At the meeting the Georgian government will be represented by Gocha Lortkipanidze. Following the meeting, members of the EU-Georgia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee will receive recommendations, and by tradition such a document is published by the Committee after each meeting.
EU-Georgia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee was established in 1999. The Committee is engaged in parliamentary control over fulfillment of the agreements and acts as an open discussion forum on common interests. Members of the Parliamentary Cooperation Committee review decisions taken by the EU-Georgia Cooperation Council and the committee.
