Georgian deputy FM resigns
Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nikoloz Vashakidze has resigned voluntarily,Trend news agency reported.
Foreign Minister Maya Panjikidze invited Vashakidze to continue in the diplomatic service, but he refused, the press service of the ministry told Trend on Tuesday.
Vashakidze was the only deputy minister who remained in position after the change of government in Georgia following the parliamentary elections.
The new deputy minister hasn't been appointed yet. Vashakidze didn't comment on the reasons for the resignation.
Vashakidze had worked for the ministry since 1996 with some interruptions.
