Flights delayed in Astana airport due to severe frosts
Some flights have been delayed in the airport of Astana due to
severe frosts, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with the reference to
Kazakh national carrier Air Astana.
"Severe 40 degree frosts and absence of hangar in the airport of
Astana cause delays in the flight schedules," Air Astana said.
According to the airlines, the engineers have to work in difficult
conditions, with breaks to get warm due to absence of hangar in the
airport.
According to the company, one flight has been canceled and two
flights have been delayed on Monday due to severe frosts.
On December 15, some10 flights have been delayed in the airport of
Astana.
Severe frosts at 30 degrees have been continuing in Astana for a
week. According to weather forecasters, warming is expected in the
middle of the week.
