Caucasian Muslims Office head awarded with UNITWIN honorary diploma
Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, the chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office has been awarded with an honorary diploma of the UNITWIN Network on Inter-Religious Dialogue for Intercultural understanding as part of an international conference titled “Derbent – a city of three religions” held in Derbent, Dagestan.
Pashazade was honored for his efforts to protect cultural
heritage and develop intercultural and interreligious dialogue.
At the conference, the Caucasian Muslims Office was represented by
first deputy chair Mufti Salman Musayev and official Surkhay
Mammadli.
Musayev read out an address by Allahshukur Pashazade to the people
of Derbent.
During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation met a Juma mosque
community of the Derbent city.
Chairman of the community Seyidyahya Seyidov asked the Azerbaijani
delegation to communicate his greetings to Allahshukur Pashazade,
AzerTac state news agency reported.
