President Aliyev inspects new cars for Interior Ministry

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev has attended a ceremony to
unveil the newly-bought cars for agencies of the Interior Ministry,
including traffic police.
Minister Ramil Usubov reported to the Commander-in-Chief.
Necessary measures have been taken in recent years to increase
effectiveness of the work of traffic police and ensure traffic
safety in the country.
Much has been done to improve the material and technical infrastructure of the Internal Affairs Ministry, work has started to buy new vehicles and equipment.
The purchase of Fiat Doblos and BMWs for patrol units, rapid
reaction force and traffic police occupies an important place among
these measures. In total, 400 cars for traffic police and 300 for
other agencies of the Ministry were bought. All cars are equipped
with e-patrol system.
The newly bought cars also include 20 Mercedes minivans for
carrying the arrested people.
