Afghanistan backs Azerbaijan in Karabakh conflict resolution
Afghanistan supports the position of Azerbaijan in the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Afghan Interior Minister Ghulam Mujtaba Patang said at a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov on July 10, the Azerbaijani foreign ministry reported.
Patang went on to say that Afghanistan is keen to enhance cooperation with Azerbaijan across many spheres
"There are huge opportunities to expand bilateral cooperation in various spheres," he said.
Mammadyarov , in turn, said the bilateral relations are traditionally friendly and brotherly and the visit would further contribute to enhance these ties.
The sides discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation at the meeting.
