Minister: Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey have much to give each other

Not only gas and oil pipelines, but also politics and culture unite Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey, Georgian Foreign Minister Maya Panjikidze said before the foreign ministerial meeting in Georgia's Black Sea port city of Batumi on Thursday.

"We started cooperating in a new format within the Trabzon declaration, which defines intensifying our relations in politics, culture, social development and other spheres," she said. "We have much to share with each other in these areas."

Panjikidze stressed that a plan of cooperation will be set out at the ministerial meeting within the declaration for 2013-2015.

The second trilateral ministerial meeting of Azerbaijani, Turkish and Georgian Foreign Ministers Elmar Mammadyarov, Ahmet Davutoglu and Maya Panjikidze is being held on the basis of a declaration dated June 8, 2012, which was adopted in the Turkish city of Trabzon.

This declaration reflects the most important parts of mutual cooperation between Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey in such areas as the economy, energy, infrastructure, transport and culture.

Another trilateral ministerial will be held in Azerbaijan presumably in the second half of 2013.
