Azerbaijani, Turkish and Georgian FMs meeting starts in Batumi

A trilateral meeting of foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia started in Georgia's Black Sea port city of Batumi on Thursday.

The meeting is being held in Sheraton hotel and will last about an hour.

The ministerial meeting is being held on the basis of the declaration dated June 8, 2012, which was adopted in the Turkish city of Trabzon.

The declaration reflects the most important areas of mutual cooperation between Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey in such areas as economy, energy, infrastructure, transport, culture and humanitarian field.

Ministers Elmar Mammadyarov, Ahmet Davutoglu and Maya Panjikidze will adopt a plan of actions in Batumi within the ministerial cooperation for 2013-2015. The plan was worked out by the relevant departments. It envisages implementing the specific projects and initiatives.

The foreign ministers will sign the final protocol and hold a joint briefing following the meeting.

The next trilateral ministerial will be held in Azerbaijan presumably in the second half of 2013.
