The semi-final phase of Azerbaijan Public Speaking Competition came to an end on March 2-3.

Azerbaijan Public Speaking Competition is a partner of the English-Speaking Union organization holding the biggest public speaking competition

After taking the 20 hours training course held by the professional trainers with international experience, the participants held presentations for semi-final speeches with the assistance of mentors within four days.

Afterwards, they made speeches on the theme "Best Way of Predicting the Future is to Discover it" at the semifinal phase. The speeches were evaluated by the jury based on the international criteria.

Ten persons evaluated with the highest scoring passed to the final phase. Here is the list of finalists:

Vagif Gasimov – Baku Oxford School

Seadat Khalilova - Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University

Nargiz Ali – Azerbaijan Medical University

Lamiya Huseyn - Dünya School

Raul Mammadov - Dünya School

Adil Gafarli - Baku Engineers University

Murad Shahmemmedli - Dünya School

Leman Alipashayeva - Sumgayit city, Gymnasium Specialized on Natural Sciences.

Eldar Aliyev - Academy of the State Custom Committee

Solmaz Fatullayeva – Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University

The best speaker of Azerbaijan will be selected among the students and pupils who won the competition.

He/she will represent the country at International Public Speaking Competition to be held on May 13-17.

APSC (Azerbaijan Public Speaking Competition) is a platform developing future leaders, speakers in Azerbaijan applying world practice.

APSC is a well-known partner of "The English-Speaking Union" (ESU) which has more than 100 years’ experience. Within the framework of cooperation, the winners visit London to participate at the international competition.

APSC also cooperates with Public Speakers Association (PSA) of the United States of America.

The International Public Speakers Conference taking place at different countries every year gathers corporate employees, company leaders, public speakers, and business leaders together.

The persons selected from Azerbaijan participate at the conference.
