Icherisheher to turn into Eurovillage

Icherisheher (Old City) will implement a EuroVillage 2014 project on May 31.
The one-day event will be held in front of the tower gates Gosha Gala Gapisi in the Old City, a unique state historical and architectural reserve in the center of Baku.
The festival will be organized by the embassies of the European Union members, located in Azerbaijan.
The event will make visitors believe travelling European town residing in the center of the old Baku.
As in the previous year, European countries will present stands providing information about the national culture, education system, and tourism. A lot of fun and entertainment is also expected.
In addition to that, a wide range of thematic quizzes, choirs, artistic performances in a variety of genres, and a buffet reception will not let visitors get bored.
The event will come to an end with the performance of bands from the Netherlands, Croatia, and Estonia.
The Old City is a unique town within the city of Baku with its own infrastructure and residential communities. The fortress is located in the center of Baku along the coast of the Caspian Sea.
Unique historic monuments and a wide range of tourism options make Icherisheher one of the most popular tourist attractions in Azerbaijan.
