Int'l conference on protection of historical heritage due in Baku
An international conference entitled "Historical and cultural
heritage protection issues in capitals of CIS member states" is
expected to be held in March in Azerbaijan's capital, AzerTac state
news agency reported.
The event will be co-organized by the Azerbaijan Ministry of
Culture and Tourism, Baku Mayor`s Office and CIS Executive
Committee.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Culture and
Tourism, the conference will feature sessions on protection of
historical and cultural heritage in capitals in modern
urbanization, management models of historical centers in capital
cities and world heritage and efficiency in terms of social and
economic development of historical and cultural monuments.
Mayors of capitals of CIS member states and representatives of
scientific community are expected to attend the international
conference.
A photo exhibition will be held as part of the conference.
