A project consisting of a series of seminars titled "Our Language is the Foundation of Our National and Cultural Identity" has been implemented by the Culture Ministry's Scientific, Methodological and Qualification Center for Culture (MEMİM), AzerNEWS reports.

The first seminar of the project was held at the Azerbaijan National Library, with the participation of the Deputy Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Director of the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, Academician Rafael Huseynov.

At the seminar, moderated by Fariz Yunisli, Head of a Department at MEMİM, the Director of the Azerbaijan National Library, Professor Karim Tairov, spoke about the importance of the "Azerbaijani Culture 2040" Concept. He noted that the document sets specific goals for the development of the Azerbaijani language and literature.

MEMİM Director, Associate Professor, Vugar Humbatov stated that one of the project's objectives is to promote the correct use of the Azerbaijani language in the media based on the new cultural concept.

Academician Rafael Huseynov emphasized that rapid globalization processes have made a new conceptual approach to the cultural sphere necessary.

According to him, the most important aspect of the existence and self-affirmation of a nation is its language.

In his speech, Rafael Huseynov spoke in detail about the promotion of the native language in the modern era, the current state of Azerbaijani language usage in the media, and also answered questions of interest to participants.

The seminar was attended by public relations staff and other representatives of several institutions under the Azerbaijan Culture Ministry.
