A show of Swiss and Azerbaijani parkour enthusiasts in Icherisheher (Old City) has surprised Baku's residents and guests.
The fantastic show with participation of athletes of clubs "X-Trem Move" and "Gilavar", including Kevin Crupi, John Roig, Hasan Mammadzade, Ayaz Gurbanov thrilled spectators with dizzying jumps and stunts in front of the Maiden tower, Trend Life reported.
The event took place within the Francophonie Weeks in Baku.
The embassies of Mexio, Belgium, Egypt, France, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, Morocco, Romania and Switzerland are taking part in the events, organized within the Francophonie Weeks running from April 1 to April 22.
Parkour enthusiasts aim to get from one point to another in a complex environment, without assistive equipment and in the fastest and most efficient way possible. Parkour includes running, climbing, swinging, vaulting, jumping, rolling, quadrupedal movement, and other movements as deemed most suitable for the situation. It's development from military training gives it some aspects of a non-combative martial art.
