Azerbaijan to showcase ICT achievement at CeBit in Hannover

Azerbaijan will participate in one of the leading ICT exhibition of the world CeBit 2014, which will take place in Hannover, Germany, on March 10 -14.
The Azerbaijan ICT Ministry announced about this on February 19.
The national pavilion will showcase achievements of Azerbaijani IT
companies and major projects implemented in the country in the
field of ICT.
The CeBIT exhibition, held in Hanover since 1986, this year will be
divided into eight groups with enterprise resource planning and
data analysis, corporative content management, web and mobile
solutions, IT-services, security, communications and networks,
infrastructure and data processing centers, as well as research and
innovation being present.
The main sections of the exhibition are IT infrastructure and
business directions, communications, telematics, navigation,
transport and logistics, public consumption sector, trends in the
Internet and mobile communications fields, banking and finance and
consumer electronics.
Furthermore, CeBit includes section on medical care based on the
principle of consultation by phone (TeleHealth, Green IT and
Mobility).
A special CeBIT Global Conferences programme has been extended and
speeches will be delivered by participants and speakers from most
of the participating countries at the conference.
Fast developing Azerbaijani ICT sector and postal service has received 202.2 million manats (over $257 million) last year, and the real growth rates of the ICT sector amounted to 14 percent.
The ICT development is continuing in the new year as well. The Azerbaijani organizations and people were provided with ICT services worth 121.8 million manats in January, which is 12.7 percent higher than 2013.
