Government agencies, NGOs and private sector to cooperate more closely on  way of hotel-restaurants business development

Within the framework of Master Class Session is initiated by DAIR Hotels and Restaurants Association, has held a next event on 22 November with participation of Marriott Absheron Baku Hotel's Management. Mr. Guy Godet, General Manager of the Hotel and his collegues Bahar Dadashova-Ganiyeva and Nisa Aliyeva shared their experiences with participants.

The event was attended by the managers and staff of Böyük Qala, Old City İnn, Alp İnn, Safran, Four Seasons, Kiçik Qala, Ambassador, Atropat, High Park, Central Park, Deluxe, Miraj İnn, New Baku, Royal, Nemi, Old Gates İnn, Sunrise, Amber, Guest House İnn, Grand Europe, Qafqaz City Hotel & Residences, Jumeirah Bilgah Beach Hotel, Ariva and other Baku hotels, also several students of Baku State University, which are studying on tourism and hotel specialization.

Mr. Guy Godet, General Manager of JW Marriott Absheron Baku Hotel told the attendants about the concept, standards, and some benefits of Marriott brand. Thereafter Bahar Dadashova Ganieva, Revenue Director of the Hotel, made presentation. Brand's history, pioneers of Marriott family, geography of hotels, features of Ritz Carlton, BVLGARİ, Courtyard, Springhill Suites, Residence İnn and other interesting topics discussed at the event, were received with great interest by participants. At the end of the event was followed hotel tour and participants were introduced to offered services.

Implementation of Glitch system, lack of textbooks for students on specialty hospitality management, organization of practice for students, attracting industry professionals with the aim of teaching speciality subjects, opportunities to participate in Marroitt's training programs and other interesting questiones are raised during the debates.

Afterward was hold express exchange of views between the participants and Association and discussed rules and benefits of Association's membership. It was noted, there are different funding sources for operation and development of non-governmental organizations such as grants, donations, financial aids from relevant government agencies and various donor organizations and, along with it membership fees. Hoteliers emphasized that DAIR Hotels & Restaurants Association is only public organization which supports country's hotel and restaurant business and serves for development of this industry and so attention and interest of government agencies and the private sector of the hospitality industry to the organization is growing every day. Several hotels have expressed a desire to become a member of the Association. Also was proposed to hold meetings under the Association arrangement with the Ministry of Taxes, State Migration Service, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and several other government agencies. The Association management hopes that the government agencies, NGOs and the private sector will cooperate more closely on the way of hotel and restaurants business development; and everyone involved in the sector, are demonstrating high activity, will contribute to the development of the hospitality industry.

Partners of the event were "Print Art Document Centre", "Nova Net", "Qarant Söğorta", "Luxury Candles" companies and Baku Hotels & Restaurants Guide. Nova Net made a presentation of İnOtel Hotel Management System and unveiled some functionality of the system. İnOtel is the only and first local developer of software products for hotel management.

DAIR Hotels & Restaurants Association expresses its deep gratitude to Mr. Guy Godet and all the team of Marriott Absheron Baku Hotel for their assistance and active participation in the project.

Let us recall that this project is designed with the goal creating an opportunity to exchange knowledge and professional views among the leaders of the world-famous brand hotels, restaurants, as well as medium and small places of accommodation and catering facilities, and other more experienced professionals.

According to Aysel Imrani, Project Manager and Ahmed Panayev, Executive Director of the Association the Project will last until the end of this year and intends to involve conducting a Master Classes and presentations by representatives of other brand hotels and hospitality professionals.
