Annual investment meeting due in Dubai late April
By Sara Rajabova
The third edition of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) 2013, organized by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade, will be held from April 30 to May 2 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre (DICEC).
The AIM will take place under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
AIM 2013 will bring together policy makers, business leaders, financiers, high net-worth individuals, location experts, and academia to examine foreign direct investment trends, policies and strategies and the key pertinent issues and challenges and will shed a better light on investment opportunities in frontier and emerging markets. The theme of the third Annual Investment Meeting will be "A Future International Economic Landscape in the Making, Implications on FDI and the Economic Prospects of Frontier & Emerging Markets."
The Annual Investment Meeting is an emerging market three-day event that includes pre-event activities such as capacity-building workshops, an opening ceremony, a thought leadership conference, a tripartite high-level meeting, country presentations, an exhibition, and networking events all juxtaposed with cultural happenings in a Gala Dinner and an Investment Awards Ceremony. The features aimed at accommodating strategic networking and providing learning experience also include ministerial one-to-one meetings, B2B meetings, and investors site visits.
The AIM 2013 conference will highlight the benefits that can be derived from enabling policies and new trends in certain areas such as fiscal policies and double taxation treaties, investment incentives or M&As. It will also emphasize investment and trading opportunities in frontier and emerging markets, in particular, in high growth sectors.
The AIM is born from a simple equation of rather a succession of paradigms: the continuous shift in the world economy after the 2008 recession, the prominence of fast developing countries on the world stage and the drastic changes of global investors. At the dawn of an economic recovery era tinted with multilayered complexities, this indicates that institutional, corporate and individual investors tend to stay away from hostile markets and prefer more concrete prospects designed to have more promising results.
AIM offers cross-regional project developers a safe and sound platform to present their projects, schedule prearranged meetings with institutional, corporate and private investors seeking reliable projects for their capital.
AIM shows itself to be a fast developing economies growth incubator with semi-industrialized nations.
The International Property Show (IPS) 2013 is back with its 9th edition alongside the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM). The exhibition is supported by the Dubai Land Department and the Dubai Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA).
Having its first edition back in 2005, IPS has made a drastic improvement with visitors, investors, exhibitors etc. As of 2011, IPS has merged with AIM to build a better investment networking society and a bigger clientele.
The International Property Show is held annually in Dubai for the real estate and property industry. It is accredited and approved by RERA to showcase and market projects and ideas to visitors and possible investors or buyers.
The exhibition tends to bring together estate brokers, developers and private and institutional investors from regions of the world such as Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. For companies that are involved directly or servicing in the property/real estate sector, it's a must-attend event to explore new innovative ideas and expand to a possible new region of the world.
The 9th edition of IPS will emphasize new features that are necessary for developers to consider given the challenging market situation such as Greater Deal of a Social Networking Experience, Quality Architecture and Design, Environmental Technologies for Green Building, and Tourism and Leisure Developments.
The event has been structured to give first hand information to identify investment opportunities regarding the prices and latest developments in the real estate and property industry. The visitors will have the privilege to meet prospective clients, network with government officials and policy makers from across Europe, Middle East and the Asia Pacific region and market their projects to an international audience.
The IPS was first organized in 2005, and has since grown to become the definitive event for companies seeking to establish strong personal relationships with worldwide professionals in the property and investment industries.
