Georgia ready to transfer KazTransGas-Tbilisi's management to Kazakhstan
Georgian Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze intends to pay a visit to Kazakhstan to discuss the situation around KazTransGas-Tbilisi gas distribution company in Tbilisi in early May, Kaladze told media on Wednesday.
"We are ready to transfer the company's management to Kazakhstan and discuss the terms of this transfer," the minister said.
He stressed that he is ready to fly to Astana after the Easter holidays.
Kaladze said that the Georgian Energy Ministry has concrete proposals to be discussed with Kazakhstan-based KazTransGas company in Astana.
A Georgian manager is working at KazTransGas-Tbilisi company. This decision was made two years ago after the company owed $80 million to the Georgian state budget.
