Baku warns political figures on so-called "elections" attendance in Nagorno-Karabakh

As the separatist Nagorno-Karabakh regime is getting ready to host its fictional "election", Baku has intensified its calls on international political figures to refrain from engaging in such an electoral scam.
In its latest warning, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry announced that any act by politicians to attend the so-called "parliamentary elections" in Nagorno-Karabakh as observers will be regarded as illegal.
"The acts of some marginal political faces, calling themselves "observers" at the illegal "parliamentary elections" in Azerbaijan's occupied territories, will be assessed as a gross violation of Azerbaijan laws," Spokesman for the ministry, Hikmet Hajiyev said.
He added that Baku does not rule out holding those people criminally liable.
Slovakian Frantisek Miklosko has already been added Interpol wanted list following an appeal from Azerbaijan. Miklosko has been accused of engaging into illegal activities in the occupied territories.
Baku claims that the "parliamentary elections" organized by the puppet Karabakh regime, which was established and has been supported by Yerevan, constitute a grave violation of Azerbaijan constitution, laws and international legal norms and principles.
"The corresponding statement was made by the foreign ministry on February 27, 2015," Hajiyev said, adding that Azerbaijan's constitution and its laws act as a basis for the legitimate expression of a will through elections on the country's territory.
Encouraged by the masterminds in Yerevan the separatist authorities in Nagorno-Karabakh are going to hold fictitious "parliamentary elections" in Azerbaijan's occupied lands on May 3, 2015, which could feed the flames of escalation between Armenia and Azerbaijan
Hajiyev said the "elections" in Karabakh is a provocation by Armenia which contradicts the OSCE Minsk Group's calls for working on the great peace agreement.
"The so-called "parliamentary elections" aims to create obstacles to the negotiation process and to conceal the occupation and aggression against Azerbaijan," he noted.
"The world community condemns these illegal "elections" and expresses its support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan within its internationally recognized borders," Hajiyev concluded.
A long list of countries stood in opposition of Armenia's aggressive and unlawful stance against Azerbaijan in view of the upcoming illicit "elections". Already the European Union, Iran, Palestine, Turkey, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, Latvia, Italy, and Switzerland have criticized the illegal puppet regime in Nagorno-Karabakh for creating tensions in the wake of these “elections”.
Armenia's armed invasion into Azerbaijan's legal territory resulted in a severe conflict pushing the two neighboring countries into a bitter territorial dispute over the Nagorno-Karabakh region, which Armenia-backed separatists seized from Azerbaijan in a bloody war in the early 1990s.
Baku proposed a great peace agreement project to work jointly on the conflict's settlement. Yerevan refused of course to seize such peace opportunity, preferring instead to support the occupation.
