Azerbaijan, Sudan consider bilateral ties
Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met his Sudanese counterpart Ali Ahmed Karti on the sidelines of the 68th Regular Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 68) in New York.
Mammadyarov touched upon resumption of the Sudanese Embassy`s operations in Baku, adding this would contribute to boosting cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
Ali Ahmed Karti thanked Elmar Mammadyarov for the support of Azerbaijan provided to Sudan, particularly within the United Nations Security Council.
He reiterated Sudan would be alongside Azerbaijan with respect to the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Stressing the readiness of Sudan to cooperate with Azerbaijan, in particular, towards making investments, Sudanese Minister asked to facilitate the visit of Azerbaijani business people to Sudan.
Mammadyarov emphasized the interest of Azerbaijan in promotion of cooperation with Sudan and proposed the exchange of business trips between the two countries.
