Read moreThe pre-election campaign process for municipal elections in Azerbaijan has officially concluded. Azernews reports that this is outlined in the "Calendar Plan of Main Actions and Measures for the Preparation and Conduct of Municipal Elections in the Republic of Azerbaijan."
According to the Election Code, campaigning can only be conducted by registered candidates, their authorized representatives, and proxies, as well as authorized representatives of political parties and party blocs with registered candidates.
In accordance with the legislation, the campaign begins 23 days before the voting day and ends 24 hours before the start of voting. This period began on January 6, 2025, and concluded at 08:00 on January 28, 2025.
It is worth noting that municipal elections in Azerbaijan will be held on January 29, 2025.
