The education and training programs supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan (MFA) for citizens of Islamic countries between 2018 and 2023 have been instrumental in fostering international cooperation, Azernews reports.

These initiatives, organized by the MFA in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Education, have provided educational opportunities for citizens from more than 80 African countries over the past five years.

Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev emphasized the importance of these programs during his address at the Forum on the Internationalization of Science and Higher Education, as reported by Azernews. He highlighted that, building on the success of these efforts, the International Education and Training Program was established in 2023 with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, creating a new international cooperation platform.

Rafiyev further elaborated, stating: "In addition, we are further deepening relations with countries with which our people have historical, ethnic and cultural ties and expanding our global humanitarian efforts."
