Festival of Ancient Handicrafts was held in Gala State Historical and Ethnographic Reserve on May 25-26.

The project aims to promote the national heritage and creativity.

As part of the event, visitors enjoyed wonderful art works, book fair, incredible musicians, dancers, artisan demonstrations, interactive games and much more.

Moreover, master classes on manufacturing plates and jugs, horseshoes, carpet weaving, as well as ebro art were held.

An excursion to Gala State Historical and Ethnographic Reserve was also organized for the guests.

Notably, the project is headed by director of Mədəniyyət TV Ramil Gasimov.

With its ancient and rich culture, Azerbaijan brings a significant contribution to the world cultural treasure.

The list of Azerbaijan UNESCO intangible cultural masterpieces includes mugham, art of ashugs, Novruz, traditional art of carpet weaving, traditional art and symbolism of preparing and dressing of woman's head covering – kalaghayi, tar (musical instrument) Chovgan game played on Karabakh horse, Lahıc Copper Craft, dolma and lavash making.

The state pays much attention to the preservation of the national heritage, the promotion of culture, the development of folk-applied creativity. Great attention is given to talented artists.
