Baku residents to watch colorful concert program on Gurban Bayrami

The next concert in the series of "Retro Baku" dedicated to the celebration of "Sacrifice Feast" will take place on September 10-11, Trend Life reported.
Eid al-Adha (Qurban Bayrami) is an Islamic festival to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim (also known as Abraham) to follow Allah's (God's) command to sacrifice his son Ismael.
The holiday varies year by year, and its date is determined by the Islamic lunar Hijri calendar, which also means the end date of the annual pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj).
This year, Azerbaijan will celebrate the religious holiday on September 12-13.
On this festive day, Baku citizens will have an opportunity to see a concert program with participation of famous singers.
The main aim of the project is to ensure colorful and interesting leisure time of residents and guests of the capital city, and to revive the tradition of holding such kind of concerts, which took place in Baku in the 1960's- 1970's.
A series of unforgettable concerts will run until October, 2016.
The concert starts at 18:00.
