River bringing Armenian bombs to Azerbaijan

For over the past decades, those living in the frontline zones close the contact line of the Armenian and Azerbaijani armed forces have learned that the Armenian bullet can come not only from the Armenian military but also from a river.
Armenia, following several days of heavy raining, opened the Hachinchay reservoir located in the occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan thus allowing water into the Hachinchay river.
However, Armenian terrorists didn’t forget of putting mines and bombs in the rivers flowing to Azerbaijan in order to hurt the civilians in front-line Azerbaijani regions. Residents of the front-line regions reported about frequent blasts in the river, which was dried for over 8 years.
Tavakkul Mammadov, a resident of the Hasanli village in Tartar region, said that last time the Armenians provided water for the Hachinchay river 8 years ago.
“Heavy precipitation in mountainous and foothill areas of mountains over the last days caused a mudflow, which raised the water level in the reservoir. Thus Armenians opened the reservoir, but also filled it with mines,” he said.
Hanchinchay flows through the territory of Terter, Agdam and Barda regions of Azerbaijan. The length of Hachinchay is 119 kilometers, while catchment area reaches 657 square km.
In 1964, the Hachinchay reservoir was built on the river. Following the occupation of Agdam region by Armenians in 1993, Azerbaijanis were deprived of the river Hachinchay and the reservoir.
Children, women or elderly, just innocent people who had nothing to do with war are a target of Armenian militaries every day, as this is not the first time when Armenians chose such a inhumane way to hurt Azerbaijani civilians.
The ammunition, thrown by Armenians into the river, hit the rocks and explode due to the strong flow of the Hanchinchay river, residents of the frontline villages complained.
Overall, several mines were found in the Hachinchay river in recent years. In May 2010, the law-enforcement agencies of Azerbaijan neutralized 10 anti-personnel mines, which were detected in the Shahvalilar village of Barda region of Azerbaijan.
Another three Armenian mines were discovered on July 1, 2010, in Ayag Gervend village and a grove in Agdam region. Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action could detonate all mines.
On February 9, 2011, a mine was again found in the Shahvalilar bank of the river.
The most horrific fact of Armenian passive aggression to Azerbaijan is the accident with a 13-year-old Azerbaijani girl, who died due to a bomb-toy she gathered from the Tovuzchay river in the Alibeyli village of Azerbaijan in 2011. Back in 1994, another two Azerbaijani children died for the same reason.
