Ukraine offers discount for Kazakh carriers

Ukraine will provide 50 percent discount to the port dues for Kazakh vessels carrying transit cargos, Kazakh Investment and Development Ministry reported.
The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine informed Kazakh party about this decision at the meeting within International Conference "Integrated Transport Corridors Europe - Asia" in Ukrainian city of Odessa.
Creation of favorable conditions on the Trans-Caspian international transport route was discussed at this meeting, which was also attended by transport authorities of Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Kazakh Ministry of Investment and Development continues discussing creation of economically favorable conditions on the entire length of the Trans-Caspian corridor with Azerbaijan and Georgia.
The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route runs through China, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and then through Turkey and Ukraine to Europe. The agreement to create the Trans-Caspian International Transportation Consortium was signed in April in Baku by the railway authorities of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Kazakhstan. New competitive tariffs were introduced for the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route since June 1, 2016.
