Iranian diplomats have held bilateral talks with the representatives of Russia and France on Tehran's nuclear issue.

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Seyyed Abbas Araqchi said bilateral talks between representatives from Tehran and Moscow in the Italian capital, Rome, was "fruitful".

Araqchi made the comments on June 11 after Iran's nuclear negotiating team and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov met in Rome, Press TV reported.

Araqchi said during the talks, both sides discussed the issues raised in the previous rounds of nuclear talks between Iran and the P5+1 group - U.S., Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany.

The top Iranian nuclear negotiator noted that Tehran and Moscow held consultations on a regular basis over Iran's nuclear energy program.

Prior to the talks with Russia, on the same day, Iranian negotiating team also held discussions with French diplomats.

Araqchi described as "helpful" the bilateral talks between representatives from Iran and France in Geneva.

Araqchi said the two sides exchanged viewpoints on the issues raised during the previous rounds of nuclear negotiations between Iran and P5+1.

After three days of intense and bilateral talks with U.S. and French delegations, the Iranian nuclear negotiating team left Geneva for Rome on June 11 to take part in a disarmament conference.

At the end of the talks with U.S. envoys, Araqchi said the talks went well though some differences remained to be resolved.

Representatives from Iran and Germany are scheduled to hold bilateral nuclear talks in Tehran on June 15.

Iran and the six world powers have been discussing ways to iron out their differences and start drafting a final deal that would end the West's dispute with Iran over the country's nuclear energy program.

The discussions come ahead of the next round of nuclear talks between Iran and the six powers, scheduled for June 16-20 in the Austrian capital, Vienna.
