Turkish FM meets Iranian official

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on May 23 met Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi and an accompanying delegation in Ankara, Anadolu news agency reported.
Davutoglu's meeting with the Iranian delegation took place at the Foreign Ministry and was closed to the press.
In a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Omar Onhun, the Iranian official discussed bilateral ties as well as regional and international developments, IRNA news agency reported.
Iranian Ambassador to Ankara Alireza Bigdeli was also present at the meeting.
Araqchi is in Turkey at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart.
Upon his arrival at Ankara International Airport, Araqchi told IRNA that one of the topics of his talks with senior Turkish officials will be the Syrian crisis.
"As regards Syriaˈs developments, several serious developments have taken place in the Muslim country and in the fight against terrorists and at international arena," the Iranian deputy foreign minister said.
