Kazakhstan to assist Tajikistan in military sphere

The Kazakh Defence Ministry reported that Kazakhstan will grant a military assistance to the Armed Forces of Tajikistan.

The agreement was reached following the talks between the defence ministers of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, Adilbek Dzhaksybekov and Sherali Khayrulloev, in Dushanbe.

The document is aimed at enhancing the defence capabilities of Tajikistan and justified by the need for a legal framework between the defence ministries of the two countries.

"One of the key moments in military cooperation with Tajikistan is the development of education. A quota is being allocated annually for training of Tajik soldiers in the military high schools of Kazakhstan," K Dzhaksybekov said during a visit to the Military Institute of the Tajik Defence Ministry.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of bilateral military and military-technical cooperation and prospects for development of military education.
