Germany, Kazakhstan cooperation in tourism sector

Germany is ready to take part in the development of Kazakhstan’s tourism sector by participating in a number of projects and programs in conjunction with the Kazakh government and experts, said Alexander Stedtfeld, Director of the Department of Tourism Development of the German Ministry of Economics and Energy at the meeting with the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Germany Bolat Nusupov and other high-ranking representatives of Kazakhstan.
"It is necessary to make efforts to create infrastructure and conditions for more effective development and growth of Kazakhstan's recognition in the global tourism world, and we are ready to cooperate to achieve this goal," said Stedtfeld, Kazakh media outlets reported.
The deputy head of Kazakhtourism Kairat Sadvakasov, in turn, stressed the main tasks and objectives of the Concept of the development of the tourism industry in Kazakhstan until 2023.
Particular attention was also paid to the prospects of development of resort areas in Kazakhstan, new tourist routes within the country, as well as events on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Astana.
