Eight people were killed and more than 100 were injured as a result of the terror attack in Diyarbakir, said Turkey’s Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, TRT Haber news channel reports.

The terror attack was directed against the city police, the building of which is located near the attack scene, according to him.

12:07 (GMT+4) The Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorist group stands behind the explosion, said Diyarbakir governorship, Ihlas news agency reports.

The report says more than 50 people were injured in the explosion.

10:52 (GMT+4) One was killed and more than 30 were wounded in the explosion, TRT Haber news channel reports.

Witnesses say explosion occurred as a result of a car bomb attack.

10:11 (GMT+4) An explosion occurred in Diyarbakir in southeastern Turkey, the Turkish Haber 7 newspaper reports.

The report says the explosion occurred near the building of a police station.

Six people have been wounded as a result of the blast. Rescue teams and ambulances have been sent to the scene.
