Azerbaijan to experience cold snap
By Amina Nazarli
Just as people were getting ready to enjoy some warmer weather, forecasters have predicted a fall in temperature.
On March 3, Azerbaijan will experience snow, the National Hydrometeorology Department said.
In Baku and Absheron Peninsula the weather is expected to be cloudy. Intermittent rain in some places and northeastern wind will blow on Tuesday.
The temperature will stand at 3-5 degree Celsius at night and 7-10 degree Celsius during the day.
Several regions will see intermittent rains, while in mountain and foothill areas forecasters predict sleet and snow.
Air temperature in the low-lying areas will stand at 1-6 degree
at night and, 8-13 degree during the day.
In mountain areas, however, temperatures will hover around 2 to 3
degree below zero and during the day at about 3-8 degree.
But, cheer up, dear residents, as forecasters have said “Despite fluctuations in temperature, temperatures this month are expected to be close to the climatic norm.”
